The summer tire Bridgestone Dueler All-Terrain A/T002 is one of the innovations in the assortment of the Japanese manufacturer, differing from most models offered today, primarily by its target audience. It includes owners of powerful SUVs and crossovers that leave paved roads more often than usual. This tire is a universal, yet uncompromising solution, providing good off-road performance, along with comfortable handling and reliable traction on high-speed highways.
Concept
This model appeared thanks to another tire - Dueler All-Terrain AT002, developed specifically for the "off-road" version of the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato supercar with a 44 mm increased ground clearance and plastic body kit. Structurally, it is a highway tire, but with a number of modifications. First of all, this is a rubber compound adapted for use on highly abrasive surfaces. Another important difference is the design of the shoulder areas, which provide better traction on gravel and dirt surfaces. All these solutions were used in the Dueler All-Terrain A/T002, which is equally good on paved roads and unpaved surfaces.
6-sided blocks
One of the key features of the tire's tread pattern is the unusual 6-sided shape of the blocks located in the central part. This increases the number of gripping edges, ensuring their multidirectionality, which allows the tire to effectively grip the ground and snowy surface. The special profile of the grooves between the blocks allows the tread to intensively self-clean in such conditions, maintaining the reliability of the gripping properties. The elements are arranged in a special way to additionally increase their stability, ensuring comfort in handling, especially when maneuvering on unstable surfaces.
Rubber compound
The tire's tread is made of a rubber compound adapted for use on highly abrasive surfaces, while maintaining high performance on paved roads. The composition of the compound is based on silica, also known as "silica". This component works in symbiosis with a complex of polymers that, at the molecular level, increase the tread's resistance to wear, punctures, tears, and the formation of small cracks, keeping it elastic at low temperatures, thereby enhancing grip on wet surfaces.
