Description Boto BT688
The cargo tire Boto BT-688, created specifically for the driving axles of highway tractors, is favorably distinguished from its numerous analogs from other manufacturers not only by an attractive price, but also by a number of other advantages. First of all, these are excellent traction-slip properties in the longitudinal direction under any weather conditions, as well as low rolling resistance for this class of tires, which makes its operation more than economically justified.
Block design
Since this model was initially developed for operation on the driving axles of trucks, it is not surprising that it is equipped with a symmetric non-directional tread pattern containing a large number of transverse traction edges. Almost all of them are formed during movement by numerous rectangular blocks spaced at a minimum distance from each other. At the same time, they are grouped into five longitudinal ribs, three of which are located in the central part, and the other two are the shoulder zones of the tread.
This design gives the Boto BT-688 tire a lot of advantages, especially if we consider the specific conditions of its operation. First of all, these are very high traction-slip properties in the longitudinal direction, which provide this model with excellent efficiency, both when accelerating and braking.
In addition, it is impossible not to note the curved transverse lamellas passing between the tread blocks of the three longitudinal ribs located in the central part. When in contact with the road surface, their walls, due to their configuration, are tightly closed between themselves. This significantly increases the stiffness of the longitudinal ribs, which, in turn, leads to a significant increase in directional stability, as well as a decrease in rolling resistance.
Excellent grip on wet road
Another direct consequence of the open design of the tread pattern of this model is the extraordinary development of the drainage system. It consists not only of four longitudinal grooves but also of a large number of transverse channels through which water leaves the contact patch with very high intensity. As a result, the tire demonstrates very confident behavior even in the most unfavorable weather conditions.
Main features of the Boto BT-688 tire
- the tire design is developed with consideration for operation on the driving axles of trucks;
- five longitudinal ribs improve directional stability and fuel efficiency;
- very high traction-slip properties in the longitudinal direction are provided due to the block design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, containing an increased number of transverse traction edges;
- a multitude of zigzag lamellas cut in the tread blocks in the central part improve stability and reliability when driving at high speed;
- excellent grip properties on a wet road due to a developed drainage system consisting of a large number of interconnected longitudinal and transverse grooves.
