Description Bontyre R-950
All-season truck tire Bontyre R-950 is distinguished by a rather specific scope of application. It is designed for installation on the steering axles of trucks, the operation of which is associated with movement on rough terrain. In addition, this model is offered in one size - 385/65 R22.5. Also, it is impossible not to note the high permissible load, which is 4500 kg.
Tread pattern with increased passability
The tire has an original S-shaped symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which used solutions inherent in both highway and off-road models. It consists of four longitudinal ribs, including two shoulder zones. The reduction in the number of tread elements made it possible not only to maximize their size but also to arrange them at a great distance from each other. In addition, it is impossible not to note the complex polygonal shape of the blocks, which formed a multitude of differently directed edges.
As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent traction and coupling characteristics on loose unstable soils. At the same time, the Bontyre R-950 tread, due to the significant distance between the blocks, is practically not clogged with soil particles, which significantly increased the passability indicators. In addition, the tread pattern has a non-directional arrangement of elements, thanks to which the tire has the same traction properties when moving in both directions.
Excellent directional stability
Despite the fact that the tread pattern consists of separate blocks, they are all grouped into longitudinal rows. In combination with the high resistance of the blocks to dynamic deformation, ensured by their massive size, this allows the tire to demonstrate excellent directional stability in any road conditions. In addition, the rigid tread blocks brought clarity and responsiveness to the handling characteristics.
Main features of the Bontyre R-950 tire
- the tire is designed for installation on the steering axles of trucks operated predominantly in off-road conditions;
- a large contact patch area is provided by the massive size of the tread elements;
- excellent cross-country ability due to the block structure of the tread and its excellent self-cleaning abilities;
- high resistance to uneven wear due to the optimal distribution of external pressure on the contact patch;
- high load capacity due to the use of a all-steel carcass;
- excellent resistance to abrasive wear and mechanical stress is provided by a specially selected rubber compound.
