The Bontyre R-230 truck tire was specifically designed for installation on the steering axles of trucks used in regional transportation. The size range of this model is designed with these specific operating conditions in mind and consists of 8 sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 17 or 22.5 inches. Depending on the size, the maximum load capacity of the tire can reach 4500 kg.

Excellent Handling

The tread pattern of this model consists of five longitudinal ribs, three of which are located in its central part. At the same time, each of them is a rigid monolithic structure, which, due to the absence of separate parts, has very high resistance to dynamic deformation. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates excellent directional stability when moving at any speed, regardless of the characteristics of the road surface.

High Braking Efficiency

A short braking distance on dry and wet roads is another characteristic feature of the Bontyre R-230 tire. These abilities have appeared due to the equipping of the central longitudinal ribs with transverse wavy lamellas. When contacting the road, they open up, thereby forming a multitude of engagement edges.

Domestic tire manufacturers have managed to provide the tread of this model with excellent resistance to irregular wear. To do this, they applied several simple but very effective technical solutions. First of all, the shoulder zones of the tread were significantly increased, and the central ribs were given the same size. Thanks to these measures, it was possible to significantly optimize the distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, thereby minimizing the likelihood of irregular wear. In addition, the uniform distribution of the load made it possible to give the contact patch a practically rectangular shape, which had a beneficial effect on handling.
