Description Bontyre BT-268
All-season truck tire Bontyre BT-268 is distinguished by a universal tread pattern, thanks to which it can be installed on any axes of trucks. This model was specifically designed for use on highways and highways, which determined its excellent suitability for prolonged movement at high speed.
Excellent traction in any weather conditions
This tire is equipped with a tread having an original symmetrical non-directional pattern. It consists of four longitudinal ribs separated from each other by wide drainage grooves. The small number of tread elements made it possible to give them massive sizes. As a result, it was possible to significantly increase the contact patch area of Bontyre BT-268, thereby providing good traction on dry roads.
When driving on wet surfaces, three longitudinal drainage grooves come into play, the large size of which allows them to accommodate a fairly impressive amount of water. This made it possible to achieve excellent resistance to aquaplaning.
Excellent directional stability and low rolling resistance
All tread elements have a rigid solid structure, characterized by the absence of any gaps throughout their length. As a result, it was possible to achieve high resistance to dynamic deformation, which, in turn, provided excellent stability at any speed, clear handling, and low rolling resistance.
Excellent traction parameters
The longitudinal ribs have a zigzag shape, which made it possible to compensate for the absence of separate blocks in the tread. The numerous edges formed as a result of this technical solution provided the contact patch with multiple edges of traction, which ultimately allows this tire to be used on the driving axle.
Main features of Bontyre BT-268
- a very long service life due to the wear-resistant rubber compound and the all-steel carcass, which made it possible to repeatedly restore the tread;
- special components in the rubber compound provide the tread with elasticity even at negative temperatures, allowing the tire to be operated on winter roads;
- high strength and resistance to aggressive external influences due to the all-steel carcass;
- very rigid and massive longitudinal ribs optimally distribute the load over the contact patch, giving the tread increased resistance to uneven wear;
- excellent traction properties on dry and wet roads due to the original configuration of the central longitudinal ribs and the efficient drainage system.
