The Belshina Bel-183 is used in quarry dump trucks with a payload of up to 32 tons, applied on the production sites of mining enterprises. The model is designed for operation in harsh conditions of open pits, where equipment works on rocky, crushed stone and mixed soils under constant high loads.

Structural basis

The tread pattern is made using massive blocks and deeply cut grooves, adapted to quarry operation. The increased density of element arrangement and their partial overlap significantly reduces rolling resistance and heat generation, which allows reducing fuel consumption. Such a configuration provides confident traction with compacted soil and rocky surfaces, as well as promotes the effective removal of small stones and soil from the contact patch. The optimized arrangement of elements reduces the risk of getting stuck with sharp fractions and helps maintain stable traction characteristics when moving on wet and contaminated areas of the quarry.

The reinforced carcass and strong breaker layers increase resistance to punctures, cuts, and impact loads that occur when working with large fragments of rock. The increased thickness of the sidewalls reduces the likelihood of damage when maneuvering in limited space and when contacting uneven quarry walls. The applied rubber compound is highly resistant to abrasive wear and overheating, which is especially important during long-distance transportation of heavy loads.
