Avon AV12 – a light truck tire used in the summer season on a wide range of vans and compact trucks. It stands out for its resistance to mechanical damage, fuel efficiency, and reliable traction on dry and wet asphalt.
The model is made using silicon dioxide, i.e., silica. This is the first commercial tire from this manufacturer to feature this component. The result was an improvement in traction on wet asphalt and a reduction in tread wear. An important aspect that increases the lifespan is the improved sidewall protection. Special ribbed elements, 1.5 mm high, are located on them. This has significantly reduced damage to the sidewall area.
The tread, represented by four wide ribs, provides excellent handling and traction on roads of varying quality. The presence of wide drainage channels and notches guarantees protection against aquaplaning.
