Description Aufine AF18
The Aufine AF18 truck tire is favorably distinguished by its universal scope of application. It provides not only excellent applicability but also the possibility of operation on any axis of a truck or bus. Among other features of this model, it is worth noting the attractive cost, which amazingly combines with excellent traction in any weather and road conditions and low operating costs.
Efficient Tread Pattern
A significant part of the universal properties of this model was achieved due to the original design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. It contains only 4 longitudinal ribs, separated from each other by wide drainage grooves. The small number of individual tread elements made it possible to make them very massive, and therefore effective. Each of the tread ribs, in addition to its significant size, is distinguished by excellent resistance to deformation changes, which gives the tire several very important operational qualities. The main one is directional stability, regardless of road and weather conditions. When installing the tire on the steering axle, it is worth adding precision and speed of execution of the driver's commands, which, together with the previous feature, significantly simplifies the process of managing a truck.
Improved Traction Properties
The lack of a significant number of individual tread elements does not prevent this model from demonstrating excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction. They are achieved due to the zigzag configuration of the longitudinal ribs of the tread, located in its central part, as well as numerous notches on the outer side of the shoulder zones. During movement, all of the above-mentioned tread elements provide a contact patch with numerous traction edges.
Key Features of the Aufine AF18 Tire
- universality due to the possibility of operation on any axles of not only trucks but also buses;
- excellent stability and low rolling resistance are provided by four rigid longitudinal tread ribs;
- large contact patch size due to the massiveness of the tread elements;
- excellent traction properties are achieved due to numerous traction edges formed by the zigzag shape of the tread ribs and numerous notches in the shoulder zones.
