The Atlas Polarbear HP non-studded winter tire is used in compact and mid-size passenger cars. It has balanced driving characteristics, demonstrating reliable traction on slippery surfaces, as well as smooth ride and acoustic comfort.
A significant part of the tread pattern area is occupied by drainage elements. The voluminous grooves intensively drain water and its heavy mixture with snow and road slush from the contact patch, ensuring stable traction in the most difficult weather conditions. The tread is dotted with numerous wave-like cuts - so-called lamellas. Located transversely, they allow better transmission of traction and braking forces to the surface with insufficient coefficient of friction, for example, on ice.
Key features of Atlas Polarbear HP
- increased drainage grooves provide stable traction in poor road conditions;
- transverse wave-like lamellas allow for intense acceleration and deceleration on icy surfaces;
- connected massive shoulder blocks improve stability and steering accuracy in corners.
