The Athos HG2148S/T commercial tire is designed for use on both the steering and trailer axles of trucks. It is distinguished by its improved traction properties on winter roads, increased load capacity, and high mileage.
The tread pattern consists of a continuous sequence of small blocks distributed over six longitudinal ribs. Their numerous edges provide excellent stability on snow and wet surfaces. The "checkerboard" arrangement of the elements increases the contact patch, reducing heat and rolling resistance, preventing rapid wear of the tread. Another important feature of the tire is the use of a full-metal carcass in its design. This component not only increases the load capacity but also allows for the complete replacement of the tire's tread after it has worn out, both by the "cold" and "hot" method.
