Description Apollo Alnac 4G
The Apollo Alnac 4G summer tire is one of the first models developed after the Indian manufacturer acquired the Dutch company Vredestein. Not surprisingly, a whole range of its technologies was used in the creation of this tire, the target audience of which is, first and foremost, European car owners. Confirmation of this is the presence of certification in the Old World, according to which this model received a rating of "B" for traction on wet roads, "C" for rolling resistance, and a noise level of just 69 dB.
Size range
At the initial stage of production, the tire is offered in 29 sizes. The bulk of the size range is designed for wheels with a rim diameter of 14 and 15 inches. At the same time, some sizes have two versions, one of which has increased load-carrying capacity and sidewall strength. Their marking contains the abbreviation XL.
Reinforced shoulder area design
One of the distinctive features of the asymmetric directional tread pattern is the design of the shoulder areas. They are characterized by massive dimensions and increased rigidity. Due to this, the tire demonstrates excellent stability and handling during sharp maneuvers and cornering. In addition, the reinforced shoulder areas of the Apollo Alnac 4G increase the size of the contact patch, giving it a practically rectangular shape. This provides stability and predictability of the tire's behavior, as well as improved resistance to uneven wear.
High Silica rubber compound
A significant part of the tire's traction properties, primarily on wet roads, is ensured by the High Silica rubber compound. As the name suggests, its distinctive feature is the increased silica content. These silicon-containing components give the tread increased elasticity at low temperatures, as well as excellent resistance to abrasive wear.
Key features of the Apollo Alnac 4G tire
- the tire was specially designed for European roads;
- the asymmetric tread pattern gives the tire excellent traction properties in any road and weather conditions;
- excellent directional stability on straight roads and in corners thanks to three rigid ribs in the central part and the reinforced design of the shoulder areas;
- four longitudinal drainage grooves with a large internal volume provide excellent resistance to aquaplaning;
- the High Silica rubber compound improves traction properties on wet asphalt, while increasing the tread's resistance to abrasive wear.
