The longitudinal rib that runs exactly along its center provides directional stability at high speeds, as well as precise handling when changing direction. Rigid blocks on the edges of the tread enhance these properties. Drainage elements evenly distributed over its entire area effectively counteract hydroplaning, preventing the formation of a solid water film in the contact patch.
