The Altenzo Sports Tempest Stud winter tire is an improved version of the same model for compact passenger cars. The difference from it is the presence of studs, thanks to which this tire becomes a more preferred option for those who often travel outside the city or use a car in unfavorable climatic conditions.
The tread pattern has a design that has become classic for such tires, with a V-shaped arrangement of elements. In the middle, there is an arrow-shaped rib that reduces wandering when moving in a straight line and rolling resistance. The blocks forming the shoulder zones are arranged in pairs, which ensures the formation of elongated transverse edges and cross-shaped drainage grooves. As a result, high traction and coupling properties are achieved on snow. On ice, they are provided by both studs and wavy lamellas that form hundreds of sharp edges in the contact patch.
