Description Advance GR-S1
Commercial tire Advance GR-S1, where every design element works in two modes: on hard pavement — for stability and economy, on loose — for aggressive traction. This is a tire for routes where the asphalt ends unexpectedly.
The tread is represented by a classic structure, in which ring elements of a solid type prevail, carrying a certain number of lamellas on themselves. This design provides:
- the walls of the lamellas act as a multitude of transverse off-road hooks, effectively cutting and holding onto loose soil, providing clear feedback to the driver and predictable traction.
- a rigid matrix minimizes transverse vibrations and, as a consequence, heat and rolling resistance. This is directly converted into fuel efficiency on highway sections.
The geometry and direction of the grooves create a centrifugal pump effect. When the tire rotates, dirt, moisture, and small stones do not clog the grooves, but are effectively removed beyond the contact patch, maintaining a constant working tread depth.
The increased width of the tread and reinforced shoulder areas expand and stabilize the contact patch. This not only increases traction in turns, but also distributes impact loads from uneven off-road surfaces, protecting the sidewall and slowing down the formation of chips and uneven wear on the edges of the tread.
A specially developed rubber compound solves a contradictory task. Its structure provides abrasive resistance to wear on asphalt, increased viscosity — a key parameter that prevents the growth of small cuts and cracks, inevitable when driving on gravel and dirt with sharp stones.
Key features of Advance GR-S1:
- a system of ribbed structures for combining off-road traction and highway stability;
- a wide profile for active directional stability at speed.
- a reinforced shoulder area design for impact protection and even wear;
- an adaptive compound resistant to wear, cuts, and various temperatures.
