The Shinko SR734 motorcycle tire is one of three representatives of a whole line of models designed exclusively for motorcycles in the "cruiser" category. As a rule, such bikes are characterized by a combination of high weight and high power and torque. It makes quite specific demands on tires, which this model fully satisfies. The SR734 is designed for installation on rear wheels, and the manufacturer recommends using it in conjunction with the SR733 model, which is installed at the front.
Optimized tread profile
One of the distinctive features of this tire is the profile of its tread. It is characterized by a very small radius, which increases slightly in the shoulder areas. In combination with a significant tread width, this made the contact patch not only very large but also practically rectangular. Thanks to this, the tire has acquired the ability to withstand high external pressure, formed by the significant weight of classic "cruisers", often exceeding the 300 kg mark. At the same time, due to the optimal distribution of mass over the contact patch, high resistance of the tread to uneven wear is ensured, which significantly extends the life of the tire.
Original tread pattern
The tread pattern of this model can be characterized as a "kingdom" of straight lines formed by drainage grooves that start in the central part and end in the shoulder areas. Such a V-shaped design made it possible to form a multitude of very long edges, located predominantly transversely. It is this feature that allows the tire to demonstrate excellent traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction.
Main features of the Shinko SR734 motorcycle tire
- the tire was developed taking into account the specifics of operation on the rear wheels of powerful and heavy "cruisers";
- the greatest efficiency is demonstrated when used in conjunction with the SR733 model (for the front wheel);
- the low-radius tread profile maximally increases the contact patch, giving it a shape close to rectangular, which remains unchanged even at significant motorcycle lean angles;
- the original V-shaped tread pattern provides excellent traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction.
