Original tread pattern

One of the advantages of this model, which was declared by the manufacturer at its presentation, is the tread pattern. It features an original V-shaped design, the main elements of which are very massive tread blocks located in the shoulder zones. Their configuration is characterized by the absence of sharp angles and the presence of very long traction edges, which are mainly oriented in the transverse direction. Thanks to this design, the Shinko 006 Podium tire demonstrates excellent stability when cornering and high braking efficiency, especially on wet asphalt.

In turn, the central part features a longitudinal rib, which in the front tire is divided into two parts by a straight drainage groove, and in the rear tire - by a zigzag one. In the first case, high directional stability and handling agility are provided, and in the second - additional traction properties in the longitudinal direction.

Excellent grip on wet roads

In addition to high stability in corners, this model is also beneficially distinguished by excellent traction properties on wet roads. To a large extent, this ability is provided by the rubber compound, which includes silicon-containing components of the new generation, thanks to which the tread, due to increased elasticity, fits very tightly to the surface of the road. Another important factor is the drainage system, which contains many grooves that quickly remove excess water from the contact patch.
