The Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tire is designed for enduro category motorcycles, used equally on roads and off-roads. The model is characterized by good performance on any surface, durability, and reliability. These operational properties are ensured by the application of advanced technologies and materials in its design.
Tread Pattern
The design of the tread pattern of both the front and rear tires is aggressive, typical of models from the Italian brand. It is formed by numerous V-shaped drainage grooves. Their location at an acute angle relative to the direction of movement provides effective counteraction to aquaplaning, excellent directional stability at high speeds.
"Dual" Compound
The tread of the tire is made of two compounds with different levels of elasticity. The central part is made more rigid, and its width compared to the previous model has been increased. This has significantly improved the tire's wear resistance and fuel-saving properties. In turn, the tire's sidewalls are made of a soft compound, which provides increased grip when maneuvering.
Optimized Tread Profile
The tread profile is selected in such a way as to provide the contact patch with a shape as close to rectangular as possible. This ensures increased resistance to lateral skidding, while preventing wear and noise levels.
Key Features of Pirelli Scorpion Trail II
- designed for enduro category motorcycles;
- numerous V-shaped drainage grooves prevent aquaplaning, improve stability at high speeds;
- a rectangular, transversely oriented contact patch reduces the risk of lateral skidding, reduces wear;
- a "dual" compound with a more rigid central part and soft shoulder zones gives the tire balanced characteristics.
