The Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Pro Hypersport summer motorcycle tire is one of the practical results of the Japanese tire giant's participation in the MotoGP championship as a tire supplier to participating teams. The key feature of this model, designed for sportbikes of different classes, is the presence of a whole range of technologies previously used only in road-ring motorcycle racing.

This model is offered in two versions - for the front or rear wheel. In addition to the tread pattern, they differ from each other in the rubber compound. The tread for the front wheel is made using two rubber compounds, and for the rear - from three. In both cases, the central part of the tread has a more rigid compound, which provides the tire with high stability when moving in a straight line.
As for the shoulder areas, this part of the tread is made from a softer rubber compound, which provides additional grip on the road when cornering. In the tire for the rear wheel, an even more elastic rubber compound is used, from which the very edge of the tread is made, which provides increased grip properties at large angles of inclination of the bike.
HTSPC and MS-BELT
One of the characteristic features of this model is its small weight and extremely low level of heat generation. This is largely due to the clever design of the tire carcass. It is created using the so-called "monospiral" technology, which involves winding the cord using only one thread. In the case of this tire, instead of a thread, a rubber cord is used, inside which five steel threads are located at equal distances from each other. This design is distinguished by its lightness, strength, and elasticity. In addition, the absence of seams, joints, and duplicate layers provides an even distribution of weight across the entire tire, which has a beneficial effect on its handling.
