The use of a high tread with clear detailing provides high speed characteristics and dynamics of movement on road sections with a solid surface. The branched network of drainage channels allows the tread to quickly self-clean, removing water and dirt, which minimizes the danger of aquaplaning when driving on a wet road.
The central guiding section of the tread is made in the form of a solid structure, which has a qualitative effect on the directional stability when moving in a straight line. Powerful side sections of the tread with shallow notches provide safe passage of turns, as well as protect the tire from damage when contacting the curb. Two stabilizing sections of the tread, located in the central part of the working zone, consist of numerous cubic lamellas, cut in half by a thin notch. Such a "floating" tread provides high stability of dynamic indicators, thanks to which the length of the braking distance is significantly reduced, and a high contact area with the road surface is also ensured.
When manufacturing the Next Tread RHD II tire, a special rubber mixture composition is used, which gives the rubber a microporous structure. This solution is taken not only to increase the adhesive properties, which increases the coefficient of friction, but also to enable the secondary use of the tire. When retreading the tread, the new layer is firmly bonded to the substrate, thanks to which the operational characteristics of the product fit within the range of technical parameters of a new product.
According to Goodyear experts, more than 70% of the cost of a tire is its base, so the possibility of secondary use gives a stunning economic effect.
