This model is distinguished by increased mileage before replacement - up to 50 thousand kilometers more than the tire of the previous generation. To achieve this, the developers applied a whole complex of technical solutions. One of them is the increase in the depth and width of the tread pattern by 1.8 and 6 mm, respectively. The tire is made with a rubber compound that contains the innovative material Carbion, which increases the tread's resistance to abrasive wear. Another solution that has increased the tire's service life is the Regenion tread pattern design. The dense arrangement of all elements optimizes the distribution of the vehicle's weight and cargo evenly across the entire contact area, resulting in slower tread wear. It is also worth noting the wavy shape of the bottom of the drainage grooves, which ejects stones stuck in the tread, reducing the risk of mechanical damage.
Confident behavior on slippery surfaces
The tire has good traction properties on slippery surfaces. This is largely due to the Regenion tread pattern design. It features wide and deep drainage grooves, as well as narrow slits - lamellae, which effectively divert water from the contact area. At the same time, the longitudinal grooves are continuously updated as the tread wears out, ensuring their effectiveness throughout the tire's service life.
Durable carcass
The carcass used in this tire is a very rigid and durable structure. This was done not only to increase the load-carrying capacity and ensure maximum reliability. This model is among the tires that can be used to restore the tread pattern using the Michelin Retread technology, which includes its complete replacement. In this case, the characteristics of the restored tire are comparable to those of a completely new tire. This solution significantly increases economic efficiency during operation.
