The significant service life of this model is largely due to the physicochemical properties of the rubber compound of its tread. This refers, first of all, to its wear resistance, which was significantly improved due to the use of innovative materials in the composition of the compound. One of them is Carbion, which provides the tread with very high resistance to abrasive wear.
Shortened braking distance on wet road
This model is characterized by increased traction on wet roads. They are ensured not only by the peculiarities of the compound, but also by a number of interesting solutions in the design of the tread pattern. First of all, these are droplet-shaped diagonal drainage grooves located on the even tread ribs. With their help, French tire makers were able to significantly improve the tread's resistance to aquaplaning, as well as due to the significant internal volume of the four longitudinal drainage grooves.
