The Michelin X MULTI F summer tire is designed for the steering axle of long-haul trucks. Like other models in this line, it provides a significant reduction in operating costs and is characterized by increased load capacity.
Reinforced Casing
Compared to the previous model, the load capacity of this tire has been increased by 250 kg. This significant improvement in this parameter is achieved due to the increased load-carrying capacity of the casing. Its design has been reinforced with the use of high-carbon steel cord. The material has high mechanical strength. Additionally, the winding technology has been changed, providing a more dense arrangement of steel cords.
Long Service Life
The tire is distinguished by a long service life. To a significant extent, it is ensured by the increased depth of the tread. Additionally, the manufacturer has provided for the possibility of its deepening by additional notching. At the same time, the permissible load on the tire becomes lower.
Confident Behavior in Any Conditions
One of the key features of this model is the stability of the traction properties in any road conditions, including rutting. This is due to the design of the tread pattern. It contains five longitudinal ribs of different sizes. The elements in the central part are narrower than in the shoulder areas. The latter, due to increased stiffness, provide directional stability when subjected to lateral acceleration forces.
The entire tread is covered with narrow slits. These elements form numerous traction edges, the transverse ones of which reduce the length of the braking distance, and the longitudinal ones provide stability on wet pavement.
