Description Michelin X Line Energy F
The Michelin X Line Energy F summer cargo tire belongs to the recently introduced line of models by the French concern for high-capacity commercial vehicles. It is characterized by exceptional fuel efficiency for its category. It is designed for installation on steering axles and operation on high-speed highways.
Reinforced carcass
One of the factors that determines the reduced rolling resistance of this tire is the carcass design. It is made of a metal cord using more durable steel. This made it possible to simultaneously increase the rigidity of the structure and reduce the thickness of the threads, which in turn made it possible to reduce the weight of the tire and, together with it, the rolling resistance. This technology is called Powercoil.
In addition, the same steel thread is used in the breaker cord, which is located directly under the tread. Advanced winding methods are used, ensuring the absence of seams and joints. Such a cord has high mechanical strength and rigidity, which, in addition to improving fuel efficiency, increases the carrying capacity and reliability of the tire.
Increased service life
The duration of the tire's operational resource is also ensured by several technical solutions. One of them is the Regenion technology. The tread has an increased depth, and as it wears out, new grooves form on its surface, ensuring the preservation of traction properties throughout the entire service life. In addition, this model can be subjected to a procedure for re-cutting the tread pattern or its complete restoration.
The tread is made of a Carbion rubber compound. All its components are mixed with each other in a liquid state. This ensures the uniformity of the compound, which in turn increases the service life of the tire.
