Long March LM365 is a model in the On/Off category for the drive axle of dump trucks, shuttle buses, and other heavy equipment operated in mixed cycle conditions. The main area of application is construction sites, quarries, oil and gas fields, and technological roads, where movement on asphalt is regularly alternated with work on dirt, gravel, and rocky terrain.
Traction potential on technological roads
The tread is designed in a non-directional pattern with large blocks and wide grooves between them. This design forms a large number of working edges, allowing for more effective realization of traction on loose soil, gravel, and wet clay. The significant volume of voids promotes self-cleaning of the tread, preventing the accumulation of soil between the blocks. The bridges between the elements increase the stiffness of the elements in the contact patch, reducing their mobility and decreasing the intensity of wear.
Reinforced construction for heavy operation
The base features a rigid radial carcass, which is a shock-resistant multi-layer steel cord. This is complemented by a rounded profile of the shoulder areas, which significantly reduces the internal stresses of the tread when driving over obstacles, as well as special protective ribs on the sidewalls, reducing the risk of mechanical damage when in contact with them.
Resource in Mixed Service conditions
During development, particular attention was paid to durability during operation in Mixed Service mode. The wear-resistant compound is resistant to the abrasive effect of gravel and rocky terrain, and the optimized tread geometry promotes a more even distribution of pressure across the contact patch. In combination with a robust steel carcass, this allows the tire to withstand prolonged operation on construction and quarry equipment, maintaining operational characteristics even under significant impact and cyclic loads. An additional advantage is the preservation of functionality at low temperatures.
Key features of Long March LM365:
- designed for the drive axle of heavy equipment operating in mixed conditions;
- non-directional "block" tread pattern with wide grooves combines high traction properties with effective self-cleaning on unstable surfaces;
- radial construction with a steel cord and protective ribs on the sidewalls increases resistance to impact loads and mechanical damage;
- wear-resistant compound and reinforced tread elements slow down abrasive wear, increasing the tire's resource during intense operation.
