The commercial tire Hankook TH31 is installed on the trailer axle. It is designed for long-haul and regional transportation. It is distinguished by a low risk of aquaplaning, reliability, directional stability, and a long service life.
The tread pattern features an increased width of the zone constantly in contact with the road surface. Together with the enlarged ribs and their high stiffness, this improves directional stability and reduces the risk of uneven wear.
The drainage grooves are characterized not only by an increased number of up to 4. These elements have walls with a variable angle of inclination and a zigzag shape. Such features reduce the risk of damage to the tread due to the jamming of stones and other foreign objects into it.
In addition to the drainage grooves, the effectiveness of the tread on wet pavement is ensured by numerous Z-shaped notches. These elements are oriented transversely to the direction of movement, which improves longitudinal traction.
The shoulder areas have a monolithic structure and increased dimensions. This expands the contact patch and ensures even distribution of the weight of the trailer and the cargo it carries across the road surface. As a result, the risk of uneven tread wear is reduced even in borderline operating conditions.
