For very many domestic truckers, the Hankook DL02 cargo tire can be a salvation, considering its excellent traction-coupling properties on snow-covered roads, as well as its functional purpose. This model is designed for installation on the driving axles of high-capacity trucks used primarily in intercity and interregional transportation.
"All-weather" tread pattern
One of the key features of the Hankook DL02 tire is that it was initially designed as an all-season model intended for use on the driving axles of trucks. That's why its tread pattern has a block structure. Thanks to the open-type design, the contact patch of this model has an infinite number of sharp edges at any given time, effectively gripping even very slippery surfaces. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent traction-coupling properties on roads with a low coefficient of friction.
Excellent directional stability
Despite the block structure, the South Korean tire makers managed to provide this tire with good directional stability. This was achieved by combining all individual blocks into separate groups, which form longitudinal ribs. Since the individual tread elements are not very large, it was possible to create six longitudinal ribs, which gives the tire high stability even at high speeds.
Effective drainage system
One of the advantages of this symmetrical non-directional tread pattern is that, thanks to its open design, it was possible to create a very effective drainage system with high performance. It is provided by a multitude of longitudinal and transverse channels between the individual tread blocks. Their large size allows the drainage system to easily handle not only water but also much heavier snow masses.
Main features of the Hankook DL02 cargo tire
- The symmetrical non-directional tread pattern is perfectly adapted for use throughout the year on various types of roads;
- A multitude of individual tread blocks forms a large number of sharp edges, providing the tire with excellent traction-coupling properties, especially on slippery surfaces;
- Six longitudinal ribs formed from blocks allow the tire to demonstrate good directional stability when moving at any speed.
