The commercial tire Firestone FD622+ is installed on the driving axle. It is beneficially distinguished by improved traction on slippery surfaces, which provides efficiency in winter.
The key feature of the tread pattern is the original S-shaped form of the blocks, given by the arrangement of the lamellas. Narrow slits additionally strengthen the traction properties on wet surfaces. The blocks are arranged in such a way that in the contact patch, very extended V-shaped transverse edges are formed. They allow for effective realization of traction effort on snow and soil. The blocks of the shoulder zones are connected by rigid "bridges". They, by limiting the mobility of the elements, increase the directional stability and maneuverability, reduce wear.
