The Firestone FD611 commercial tire is installed on the drive axle of large-capacity trucks and buses. It is characterized by improved traction and adhesion properties on wet and snowy surfaces, high mileage and reliability.
The tread pattern is designed in an open design with separate blocks. The polygonal shape of the elements provides a contact patch with multidirectional edges, which increases the traction effort and directional stability. In addition, this solution made it possible to increase the number of blocks and, together with it, the useful area of the tread and its wear resistance. The shoulder blocks have larger sizes and are connected by wide "bridges". This also increases wear resistance and reduces rolling resistance at the same time.
