The closed-type tread forms a large contact patch, which contributes to the even distribution of load and its reduction per unit area. In combination with a robust multi-layer carcass, it allows working under load without fear of rupture. The high tread layer provides reliable protection against local damage that can be caused by sharp objects.
The presence of circumferential grooves on some elements increases the effectiveness of fixing the contact patch, affecting traction and braking properties. Deep circumferential channels allow not only to quickly cope with various water volumes but also contribute to heat dissipation during long trips.
