In the fall of 2020, the car underwent a planned update, separate from the original Koleos of the second generation. Most of the changes affected the exterior. The front end received a radiator grille with a larger cell, along with new headlights and rear lights that became fully LED even in the base version of the crossover. At the same time, the rear "turn signals" have a running line effect.

As for the salon, the only visible change was the rearview mirror, which lost its frames. In addition to it, the list of additional options included upholstery of seats and door cards made of natural brown leather. However, it remained unavailable for the top Premiere version, which still has a choice between black and white natural leather with diamond-shaped stitching in both options.

The leitmotif of the technical update was simplification. The engine range lost diesel engines, and the transmission lost the all-wheel drive system. The base versions are equipped with an inline petrol "four" with a volume of 2 liters and a power of 144 horsepower. As an alternative, the same engine is offered, but adapted to run on liquefied natural gas with a power of 140 horsepower, which makes this car a unique offer in its class on the South Korean market.
