The company Lucid Motors began its activity in 2007. At that time, it was called Atieva. Its origins are in China, but it is still managed by Ronnlinson, who worked as the chief engineer at Tesla. And the main production facilities are located in Arizona.

A little history

The company introduced its first serial model, called Lucid Air, back in 2016. However, the project could not be quickly brought to the production line due to financial difficulties. It was only in 2018 that the project was continued. This was facilitated by the Saudi Arabian investment fund, which acquired a controlling stake. This factor allowed the company to start building a factory in 2019, with a capacity of 34,000 units per year. In addition to the assembly lines, the plant also includes a workshop for the production of electric motors. The company plans to launch a second line, which will allow the production of up to 400,000 cars per year.

So far, the company produces only one model in different trim levels, from the most expensive and charged "Dream Edition" to the simplest - Pure. Nevertheless, even the minimally equipped cars amaze with their luxury and the ability to travel over 600 km on a single charge.

The company plans to release a crossover Gravity, as well as a competitor to the Tesla Model 3 with a lower price range, but with the same luxury filling and design.
