The Leapmotor automobile brand belongs to a Chinese company of the same name. It specializes in the development and production of electric vehicles. History

This brand was established in December 2015, but the first practical results of the company's activities had to be waited for about three years. In June 2018, at the CES Asia exhibition, the company presented the first chip with artificial intelligence Lingxin 01 in China, developed jointly with the Chinese company Dahua. In October of the same year, it was announced the start of production of the three debut models of the brand, in which it was planned to use the new development. The first to go into mass production was the sports 2-door coupe S01, which already in the first half of 2019 went on sale in mainland China. In May 2020, an agreement on strategic partnership in the field of electric vehicle creation was concluded between Leapmotor and FAW, in which artificial intelligence will be used. Almost exactly a year later, in May 2021, the company presented its second model, the urban subcompact T03. After six months, the first crossover of the brand, the C11, went into mass production. This was followed by the start of cooperation with the Stellantis corporation, which acquired 20% of Leapmotor's shares worth around 1.5 billion euros. In addition, the agreement provided for the creation of a joint venture for the production of models intended for sale outside of China. The first of them was the large-sized crossover C10, presented in September 2023.

Model Range

Currently, the brand's product line consists of five models, the initial one being the T03. The urban subcompact, considering government subsidies, is one of the affordable electric vehicles on the Chinese domestic market. At the same time, the car turned out to be very practical due to the 5-door body and a range of up to 400 km. At the top of the model range is the aforementioned C10 crossover. This is a fairly large car, over 4.7 meters long, already in the base version is fully electric, being equipped with a traction motor with a power of 231 hp and a battery pack with a capacity of 69.9 kWh, which provides a range of up to 530 km.
