Hongqi H9 is a flagship sedan from the Chinese company FAW, which was first introduced in 2020. This luxury vehicle combines high technology and the use of high-quality materials.

Technical Features

The sedan is equipped with two engine options. The first is a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which is supplemented by a generator, forming a hybrid system. Its power output is 252 horsepower. The second option is a 3-liter V6 gasoline engine with a turbocharger, which produces 283 horsepower at its peak. A 7-position robotic transmission with a dual clutch serves as the transmission. The drive is only rear-wheel.

In addition to the standard version, the manufacturer also introduced its extended version (23 cm longer), which received the "+" prefix in the name. The vehicle received all-wheel drive, air suspension, and inserts between the doors. Particular emphasis was placed on increasing comfort for rear passengers.

Among the exterior design, it is worth highlighting the massive radiator grille, consisting of vertical elements, one of which extends to the hood.

Restyling

In 2024, the company presented an updated version. The exterior received a new headlight architecture, a less massive radiator grille, a changed shape of the exhaust system pipes at the rear, and a bumper. Some power units have undergone modernization. Thus, the 3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine now produces 333 horsepower, and it is now complemented by an 8-position "automatic". A version with a 2.5-liter engine producing 303 horsepower has also appeared.

Distribution in Russia

In 2022, the representative sedan was presented in our country on an official basis. Its full-fledged sales started a year later. Note that the Russian Ministry of Defense has already acquired several copies. In addition, several sedans have been purchased by private individuals.
