The fully electric Genesis GV60 crossover from the luxury sub-brand "Genesis" was introduced to the public in 2021. The model was developed on the universal E-GMP platform for electric vehicles, on which the KIA EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 were previously created.

Technical Features

The "crossover" is designed in the new corporate design, which implies a two-level front optics of a narrowed form, a hood that goes to the wings, door handles hidden in the doors, rearview mirrors represented by cameras, as well as a massive radiator grille with active air ducts for cooling the battery. All this created a sufficiently futuristic exterior, highlighting the car among its analogs.

The car's suspension is represented by a classic structure: "MacPherson" in the front, and a multi-link structure in the rear. In addition, adaptive shock absorbers are provided, supplemented by an automatic system that, based on the data received, itself regulates their stiffness.

The crossover's interior is quite spacious. This was achieved due to the absence of a central tunnel. And all controls are concentrated on the armrest protrusion, as well as a large touch screen located on the central console. Among the new "chips" are a fingerprint scanner for starting the engine, as well as face scanning for opening doors.

To ensure a high level of sound quality for media files, a Bang & Olufsen system is provided, consisting of 17 speakers. It is complemented by an active noise canceling function, as well as an imitation of the engine operation (several options).

Power Units

A large battery with a capacity of 77.4 kWh is provided as a power source. It is supplemented by an 800V fast charging system, which allows the car to be charged from 30 to 80% in 18 minutes. And to fill up the reserve for 100 km, it is possible to do so in 5 minutes. Among the features, it is worth noting the possibility of using the onboard network as a power source for external devices with a total power of up to 3.6 kW.

There are three trim levels: with one electric motor with 228 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, an all-wheel drive version with two engines with 318 horsepower (its feature is the ability to forcibly disconnect one of the engines), and a top version with two engines with 435 horsepower. However, the full power of such a version is available only when the Boost function is activated for 10 seconds. It allows the fairly heavy car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4 seconds.
