Exeed VX – a premium-level crossover that went into production in 2021 (the presentation in the form of a concept was held back in 2019). Immediately, we note that the car also entered the Russian market in the year of its world premiere. Good technical equipment, stylish exterior, and high body reliability in combination with power units made the model quite popular in our country as well. Only in 2022, around 4 thousand copies were sold in the region.

Technical Features

70% of the crossover's body elements are made of special high-strength steel that can withstand up to 1500 MPa. Also, a significant part of the body has double galvanizing, coated with high-strength paint and varnish compositions. In the future, this should significantly slow down the development of corrosion, even with intensive operation.

The car's suspension has a classic design, which is represented by "MacPherson" in the front and "multi-link" in the rear. The drive is full, implemented through a BorgWarner clutch. It is activated automatically in case of wheel slip on the leading axle.

For our country, a special package is provided, which involves the operation of the machine in harsh winter conditions. It includes remote engine start, heating of nozzles, wiper zones, steering wheel, and seats of the first and second rows.

Among the basic equipment, it is worth highlighting the leather salon, a panoramic roof with a large glazing area, a high level of noise insulation, at which the salon feels only 38.5 dB.

The manufacturer paid special attention to safety systems, which have undergone multi-level tests and received confirmation in the form of certificates from organizations of various countries (USA, Canada, Europe, China, and others). In addition to the M3X MARS reinforced platform, safety is ensured by a reinforced body, ESP from Bosch, 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, tire pressure sensors, headlights with an intelligent system that provides better visibility when performing maneuvers, light and rain sensors, as well as a number of others.

Power Units

At the moment, the crossover is offered only with one gasoline engine SQRF4J20C, which has a volume of 2 liters and produces 249 hp (254 for the Chinese market) at its peak. The torque is 385 Nm. A 7-speed robotic gearbox with two "wet" type clutches acts as a transmission. Thanks to the optimization of its settings and the possibility of manual gear shifting (paddle shifters), efficiency is achieved in any conditions. At the same time, the likelihood of overheating is eliminated due to a well-designed cooling system. And the "autohold" option reduces the load on the gearbox during long stops in "traffic jams" with the engine running. Thanks to the harmonious work of the power units, the heavy crossover is able to reach the first "hundred" in just 8.5 seconds.
