In 2004, due to the bankruptcy of Daewoo, the company became owned by General Motors, and a slightly modified Chevrolet Matiz car appeared on the market. Notably, cars assembled in other countries retained their names unchanged. Under the hood, three gasoline engines with a volume of 0.8, 1, and 1.2 liters were installed, which worked in pair with a manual or automatic transmission.

M200

The second generation of Matiz appeared in 2005. The car acquired a more aerodynamic shape, its lighting has improved, and the level of safety has increased. Despite the fact that the engines remained unchanged, they were brought up to the Euro-3 standard. The car was supplied to the territory of Russia under the name Chevrolet Spark.

M300

In 2009, the production of the third generation started, which became larger in size. This affected the comfort of the salon. In addition, the car received new power units that meet the current environmental standards of many countries. The model was produced until 2015 in South Korea, and until 2016 in Uzbekistan. Then it was transformed into a new brand called Ravon. On the territory of Russia, the car is now known as Ravon R2.
