The lightest tires in our test - if you install them instead of Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires, the unsprung masses will decrease by 11.6 kg at once! And the car rolls with the least effort. It also brakes well on wet and dry asphalt and confidently holds in turns. And in terms of comfort, Dunlop tires are only slightly inferior to the test leader - they react a bit harder to seams and joints on the asphalt. As for handling, the tires show a sporty character - the car passes turns with high lateral accelerations, but skidding can be rough at times. Especially on wet asphalt.

Designed as less sporty compared to the ContiSportContact 5P tires, the ContiSportContact 5 tires nevertheless impressed with high grip on wet asphalt, giving the car a pleasant balanced behavior. As you approach the limit - soft skidding of the front axle, slightly releasing the gas - and the rear wheels transition into skidding.
But on dry asphalt, these tires are no longer ready for high loads - when braking, they lose to the leader by almost three meters. And on a dry track, the manageability of skidding is stretched out, lacking precision in reactions. However, everything is fine with comfort - soft and quiet tires.

Good tires, and yet for second-line tires, the price is unjustifiably high.
Judging by the results of our tests, these are quite worthy tires. They are not afraid of "big water" - they are better than others at resisting aquaplaning and provide excellent deceleration on wet asphalt. In turns, however, they hold worse, but the transitions to skidding are soft, so it's easy to control the car. On dry asphalt, the behavior is similar. And the comfort is at a high level.

Indeed mass tires: 85 sizes, starting with affordable 15-inch ones that can be installed, for example, on a Hyundai Getz. And get good grip properties on wet asphalt and high resistance to aquaplaning. The only downside is that in turns, the tires sometimes abruptly skid, endowing the car with an unpleasant tendency to skid. If the car is without ESP, it's better not to drive recklessly in the rain.
But on dry asphalt - please do! On these Korean tires, it was possible to pass turns no slower than on European tires. And the level of comfort is worthy. And also, these "directional" tires look more attractive than competitor tires with their "faceless" treads.

The "specialization" of tires in the line of sports tires is the primary equipment of cars. This model is approved for installation on more than 200 car models. However, the 17-inch tires also demonstrated high coupling properties on wet asphalt and decent resistance to aquaplaning. The main thing is that they endow even a "civilian" car with exciting, sporty reactions. But here's the trouble: on dry pavement, it's almost the longest braking distance. That is, with lateral loads, the PZero Rosso tires handle noticeably worse than with longitudinal ones. And in terms of comfort, the priority is "acoustics" - the tires are quiet, of medium hardness.

Tires came to replace the top model Potenza RE050a, which due to low coupling properties on wet asphalt with a crack failed the 2011 test of summer tires of size 235/35R19. The new tires work much better on a wet surface, both when braking and turning. On a wet track, the car handles quickly and without skidding: even in response to a sharp gas reset in a turn, it's just a transition to a smaller radius. Not exciting, but safe. On dry asphalt, the car also demonstrates high stability, which is especially pleasant at high speeds. And it's unpleasant that these tires are noisier than others and react more sharply to irregularities. It's not surprising, since each tire weighs over 11 kg! But there is a justification: the frame of these tires, unlike the main competitors, is two-layer, which means it is potentially more resistant to impacts, which is especially relevant when driving on broken roads.
