Tyre reviews Kumho HP71. Page 1 384

In mid-May 2023, I purchased Kumho HP71 265/50 R19 110V XL. From the very first kilometer, I had negative impressions - the noise while driving was like a jet plane. I even started writing a complaint letter. I read reviews - all positive, quiet and soft tires. What's wrong with mine? Only after 2 sleepless nights, even going out to the car at night to inspect the wheels, searching the entire internet for information. During another inspection, it dawned on me! - on two middle grooves along the entire circumference, there are small hairs, their depth is about 0.5 mm. They are needed as a running-in indicator and the noise appears at a speed of more than 70 km/h. Separate disappointment with the company - why is there no instruction manual? The satisfaction with the purchase would have been complete. I hope my review will be useful to other buyers.

In April 2024, I bought KUMHO CRUGEN HP71 to replace YOKOHAMA (worn out). The tires were made in Korea, batch 43 of 2023. I chose them based on reviews - quiet, normal handling, and of course, the price. Everyone writes that they are quiet, but is it just me who feels like I'm flying in a plane?! They are noisy after 60. In one of the reviews, it was written that there are "whiskers" on the two middle grooves, 0.5 mm deep. Yes, they are! I've already driven 560 km. I'm waiting for them to wear off! They are very noisy!

I bought "Kumho" HP71 225/55 R18 tires, which according to the website were made in Korea. In fact, I received tires made in China. When I called and asked why this happened, I was told that most tires come from China. It turns out that the website deliberately lies. They offered to contact the complaints department. When I asked if the delivery costs would be reimbursed in case of a return, they replied "well, we delivered the order". When I asked why I should pay for something I didn't order, they hung up the phone. I would recommend buying from this seller with caution.

After purchasing and installing, I immediately felt the vibration in the steering wheel. I paid for re-balancing - it didn't help. I changed the suspension - it didn't help. It was only on the third visit to the service center that it turned out the problem was with the tires. Most likely, the seller's storage was improper and the tires lost their geometry. Awful experience of wasting a lot of money due to buying tires

Disappointment. I chose these tires because they were made in Korea. But in fact, they turned out to be Chinese

Failed tires. A clear minus in terms of stability and behavior on water. Wear resistance is high (after half a season, it's practically new). I'll keep driving but won't buy new ones like this. I haven't studied alternatives in this price range (there are only Chinese options there).
It doesn't make sense to compare it to the previous tire (Michelin) - they're just different levels.
