New summer tyres from Uniroyal released
Under the Uniroyal brand, the company Continental offers tyres positioned as "rain tyres," claiming that thanks to their technical features, they enhance safety on wet roads. In 2026, the brand's range was expanded with a new summer model Uniroyal RainExpert 6 for passenger cars.

As with previous generations of RainExpert tyres, one of the key features of the new model is the shark skin-inspired texture applied to the bottom of the grooves (the refined technology is now called Shark Skin Technology 3.0), which accelerates water dispersion and reduces the risk of aquaplaning. Additionally, wave-shaped grooves have been incorporated into the tread pattern to further improve the tyre's drainage capabilities. The manufacturer states that "rapid water evacuation ensures confident handling even during the heaviest downpours."

The tread pattern also features reinforced shoulder blocks, which, combined with an increased contact area and an optimised structure, reduce braking distances and enhance cornering stability on dry surfaces. Meanwhile, the new rubber compound extends tyre lifespan, and even load distribution across the contact patch helps reduce noise levels. The tyres are suitable for use on both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric cars, as confirmed by the EV✓ marking on the sidewalls.

Uniroyal RainExpert 6 tyres are available in sizes from 16 to 19 inches and have received European label ratings of B/C for fuel efficiency, A for wet grip, and B for noise.
