The company Michelin has introduced a new summer tire, the Kleber Dynaxer HP5, to the European market, which replaces the fourth-generation Dynaxer HP4 model and is also available in the Dynaxer HP5 SUV version for SUVs and crossovers.

Depending on the size, the new tires have a tread pattern with three, four, or five longitudinal grooves, and Michelin notes that compared to the previous model, water drainage has been accelerated, and wet grip has increased by 5% (by 2% on dry asphalt). Additionally, rolling resistance has been reduced by 8%, and a special rubber compound has increased tire life and braking efficiency by 5%.

Michelin also reports that, according to the results of a study, the new product's overall environmental impact has been reduced by 7%, which was made possible by a number of factors, such as improved handling and reduced rolling resistance, which reduced emissions and fuel consumption. Moreover, the tires were designed in France, and production is carried out in Europe, which reduces delivery routes to customers, thereby also reducing the environmental burden.

"At the moment, this is the best summer model in the Kleber lineup," said Michel Sen-Martin, Kleber tire developer. "We have significantly increased safety on wet and dry surfaces, i.e., the tires are effective in any situation. Moreover, thanks to the innovative tread pattern and optimized rubber compound, we have reduced environmental damage by reducing rolling resistance and increasing tire life. When creating the new Kleber Dynaxer HP5/HP5 SUV, we made no compromises."

According to ETRMA, Eurostat, and Michelin, summer tires remain the most in-demand in Europe, occupying more than half of the local market. At the same time, tire sizes continue to grow, and the segment of 18-inch and larger tires has grown by 51% in 2019-2023. The size range of the new Kleber ensures 90% market coverage, and the Dynaxer HP5 is available in 237 sizes, while the HP5 SUV is available in 142 sizes. Sizes with diameters from 16 to 22 inches are available.

Another novelty from Michelin is the BFGoodrich Advantage 2, which is also offered in a crossover version with the corresponding name Advantage 2 SUV and has a tread pattern very similar to the Dynaxer HP5.

In the brand's lineup, the novelty replaces the BFGoodrich Advantage tire, presented in 2020, and compared to the previous generation product, the braking efficiency on wet asphalt has been improved by more than 5%, which helped the Advantage 2 receive the highest "A" rating in the European classification system. Additionally, the resource has increased by 5%, and the updated lamella design has allowed for a 6% reduction in rolling resistance. The tires also feature wear indicators and, like Kleber, are produced in Europe.

The passenger car model is offered in 159 sizes, and the SUV version is available in 43 sizes (in the range of 16-20 and 16-21 inches, respectively).
