A new CEO has been chosen for Sumitomo

Sumitomo Rubber Industries has announced that on December 25, the Board of Directors made a decision to appoint a new President and CEO. The personnel changes are to be approved at the annual shareholders' meeting, which will take place on March 26, 2026, and are related to the formation of a new management structure, the company says. 

According to the decision of the Board of Directors, the new President and CEO was chosen to be Yasuaki Kuniyasu. He will replace Satoru Yamamoto in these positions, who will head the Board of Directors of Sumitomo.

Yasuaki Kuniyasu, born in 1969, started working at Sumitomo in 1992 and during this time held various leadership positions in the development, quality control, corporate planning departments, etc.
