The National Agency for Industrial Information (NAII) analyzed how prices for new non-premium segment passenger car tires have changed. As the analysts note, over one month, from July to August 2024, both winter (+2.8%) and summer and all-season tires (+0.8% and +7.4%, respectively) have become more expensive.

According to NAII data, the average cost of a non-premium all-season passenger car tire in Russia in August was 14.8 thousand rubles, which is more than in July but less than a year ago, when this figure was 15.2 thousand rubles. Winter tire prices have stabilized at 9 thousand rubles per unit, with the peak over the past year occurring in October and November 2023. Summer tires have decreased in price from 11 to 9.9 thousand rubles per unit over the year.

Again, we are talking about non-premium tires, i.e., in the "premium" segment, prices will be an order of magnitude higher, and in May 2024, according to the same NAII data, they were 23.8, 24.6, and 29.2 thousand rubles in the all-season, winter, and summer tire segments, respectively. At the same time, the growth in cost compared to May 2023 was 32.1% for winter tires and 26.6% for summer tires.
