In Goodyear, it was reported that after the sale of the Dunlop brand rights to the Japanese Sumitomo, the only brand of the company in the mid-price segment of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) market will be Cooper Tires, and it will play a key role in the region. "This step reflects Goodyear's desire to form a comprehensive and competitive offer in all sectors of the consumer market, based on stable quality, time-tested reliability of products and the rich heritage of the Cooper brand," the company says.

Cooper Tires, founded in 1914 and acquired by Goodyear in 2021, produces tires of various types, and the company emphasizes that "Cooper tires consistently win customer trust, coping with the most difficult operating conditions," and "this reliability and efficiency will allow Cooper Tires to play a more prominent role in the implementation of Goodyear's strategy in EMEA".

The manufacturer adds that "in order to achieve long-term growth, it continues to develop its range so that every customer can find a product that meets their needs, both in the premium and in the mid-range and economy segments", and the increase in the role that Cooper will play indicates that Goodyear is striving to capitalize on the strengths of all its brands.
