Ultragrip 8 Performance by Goodyear

The Goodyear company has introduced new friction winter tires UltraGrip 8 Performance, designed for powerful high-speed vehicles.

The new model features a directional tread pattern design and has a complex lamination system. It includes three types of lamellas: standard, "hybrid" and SD-BIS. This system was specifically designed to provide optimal traction characteristics on different road surfaces: on hard pavement and on snow. The deepest lamellas are located in the shoulder areas, which, according to the developers of the Goodyear company, guarantees good traction throughout the entire service life.

Also, the Goodyear UltraGrip 8 Performance is distinguished by the original appearance of the ribs in the center of the tread. They have a saw-tooth shape, which contributes to better traction - they seem to bite into the snow and also enhance traction.

The tire has a unique rubber compound composition, which includes silica. This component, which is actively used in many modern tires, does not allow the tire to freeze at low temperatures, improves grip on wet roads, and so on. The contact area was intentionally increased to provide the tire with good braking characteristics on ice.

The Cool Cushion layer, which is located under the tread, is designed to limit the amount of heat generated. Thus, it was possible to reduce rolling resistance, which, in turn, had a positive effect on fuel economy. This is also facilitated by the reduced weight of the tire, as well as the original design of the sidewalls, which gives excellent aerodynamics.

The new tires are offered in twenty-three sizes with diameters from 15 to 18 inches. In August, it is planned to add fifteen more sizes.
