Will Schrader will showcase his new technology at the exhibition in Bologna

Information has spread on the internet that Schrader International, a company well-known worldwide for its developments in the field of tire condition control, will showcase its new products for the first time after the acquisition of Sensata (the company was acquired in October) that took place last year. Journalists from Tyres & Accessories asked the exhibition representatives what exactly would be displayed at the stand.

However, no precise information on this matter was received. The publication's interlocutors dodged a direct answer. Nevertheless, it is likely that the technology in question is WAL (Wireless Auto Locate). This is a unique patented technology that allows for tire pressure control, automatically detecting and reading indicators from each installed sensor.

Its essence lies in the fact that it not only records indicators from each specific sensor, displaying them on the driver's cabin display, but also constantly establishes their localization during operation, i.e., the location where they are situated. Only by precisely knowing the position of the sensor in the tire at the time of measurement can the condition of the tire be determined.

The reason why the publication's journalists believe this to be the case is that both the company's OE sensors and programmable EZ sensors can support this technology. Recall that the use of TPMS sensor systems has become standard today, as most cars have been equipped with them in the manufacturing process since the last quarter of last year.
