Tengri Tyres intends to develop exports

Tengri Tyres, a joint venture between Tatneft and the Allur group, based in the city of Saran, Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, intends to expand its product range and develop exports. This was stated by the Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Sapaerbekov, whose words are quoted by Kursiv.

According to Sapaerbekov, since the beginning of 2025, the Saran plant has produced around 200,000 units of products, and 37 sizes of tires are being manufactured for passenger cars.

"We plan to introduce more than 100 types of tires into production. In total, since the launch, we have produced over 300,000 tires. We also plan to scale this up and move into other segments and sizes. On the issue of exports - it is one of the important issues for us. We plan to develop the export direction," he said, adding that the company "still depends on some types of imported raw materials".

According to the Kazakh Ministry of Industry, during the first month of operation, the plant, which was officially launched last summer, produced around 30,000 tires, and primarily produced passenger car tires under the Attar brand. In total, it was planned to produce up to 1 million tires last year.

Tengri is capable of producing up to 30 million passenger car tires and 500,000 truck tires, and the project's design capacity is expected to be reached in 2027. According to the Kazakh Ministry of Industry, the cost of the enterprise is 228 billion tenge (35 billion rubles).

Earlier, the head of the "Tire Business" direction of Tatneft, which includes Tengri, Andrey Pantiukhov said that in July 2024, the company began supplying tires to Russia.

The Kazakh Ministry of Industry reported that Tengri supplies tires to "Astana Motors", Kia Qazaqstan, QazTehna, "Kamaz-Engineering" and others, as well as equipping JAC cars of local production.
