Sumitomo launches an initiative to counter stormy market conditions

In the face of rising raw material prices, changing consumer preferences, tariffs, and geopolitical uncertainty, the tire market is currently facing a multitude of challenges. To strengthen profitability and minimize costs in this environment, Sumitomo Rubber Industries has recently launched a company-wide initiative called "Project ARK". The goal is to cut costs by 30 billion yen ($202.8 million) by 2027.
