Toyo tires are approved for Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

Toyo Tire has become the supplier of tires for the original equipment of the new hybrid crossover Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, which will go on sale in the Japanese market on October 31, 2024, the tire company reported. 

For the new hybrid, the highway tires Toyo Open Country H/T were approved, which are made using the Nano Balance Technology, allowing to improve the characteristics of rubber compounds, and, as the manufacturer claims, provide an optimal level of traction and comfort, while also being more environmentally friendly. Additionally, the T-Mode design technology was used, also developed to improve the various operational characteristics of tires.

Outlander PHEV is the flagship model of Mitsubishi Motors, which was introduced in 2013 and positioned as the first hybrid all-wheel drive crossover on the market, created for everyday use.

The new version of the hybrid will be equipped with Toyo tires (in size 235/60 R18) in markets such as Asia, Oceania, etc.
