Apollo excavator tires will be released in new sizes
Apollo Tyres has expanded its range of dual tyres for excavators with the addition of two new sizes — 280/70-22.5 and 220/80-17.5 — designed for medium-sized excavators weighing up to 16 tons, as well as compact models weighing between 6 and 10 tons. The tyres in the new sizes were showcased at the bauma 2025 construction and industrial equipment exhibition in Munich, and the Apollo AWE 723+ can now be installed on excavators weighing between 6 and 26 tons.
The tyres from Apollo feature a tubeless diagonal construction, which, according to the manufacturer, improves stability and ride comfort. Additionally, unlike traditional dual tyres, the AWE 723+ eliminates the need for a spacer, preventing sand, stones, and debris from getting stuck between the tyres, and provides additional protection for the sidewalls, including in harsh conditions and under extreme loads, and the tyre design increases the contact area, improving traction and mobility on soft ground.

The company adds that more and more companies using excavators in their work are looking for tyres that function with stable reliability and can handle various tasks and types of terrain, and the expanded range will increase the scope of application of the AWE 723+.
"The premiere of the expanded range at the bauma exhibition was an important moment for us," said Laurence Bennett, Head of OTR Tyres at Apollo. "As the construction industry continues to evolve in Europe and beyond, the expanded Apollo Tyres range will help us meet the growing demand for robust and reliable tyres."
The AWE 723 tyres in the new sizes will be available for order in Europe starting from the current quarter, and the original model was introduced two years ago in the 300/80–22.5 size.
