Transamerica Tire is launching two new tires under its Predator brand: the "hybrid" New Mutant RT Trail, which occupies a position between Rugged- and Mud-Terrain class models, as well as the New Mutant RT Trail EV, specifically designed for electric off-road vehicles and pickups.

The New Mutant RT Trail is positioned in the brand's lineup between the New Mutant X-RT and New Mutant X-MT tires, and Transamerica emphasizes that the novelty performs well on both asphalt and off-road, combining the durability of Rugged-Terrain tires with the fast self-cleaning from mud and sand inherent in mud tires.

The tires have a tread pattern with high blocks and additional lamellas, created, among other things, to enhance traction on wet surfaces and in winter conditions, and are similar in design to the X-MT. The shoulder areas feature large mud grippers that improve handling during maneuvering, and the pattern has also been revised to reduce noise when driving on paved roads. The sidewalls have two design options, both of which were developed for a more stylish appearance of the tires, as well as to provide protection against damage.

Predator New Mutant RT Trail tires have entered the market in 30 sizes with a rim diameter of 17-22 inches, and additional sizes are currently being developed, including those for 24-inch wheels, which will be released within the next two months.

The New Mutant RT Trail EV model for electric vehicles has been optimized to withstand the increased loads associated with instantly available torque and regenerative braking, and has a load capacity that, as the company emphasizes, has been increased without compromising other characteristics and safety. In addition, the reduced rolling resistance improves the range of electric vehicles, and the increased wear resistance extends the life of the new tires.

Currently, New Mutant RT Trail EV tires are available in seven sizes with diameters from 20 to 22 inches.

According to Rich Calbay, Content Director of Predator Tires, both new tires are perfect for any conditions and have an "ideal balance between efficiency and innovation". "These tires are designed to make drivers feel confident in any situation, regardless of whether they have an electric or internal combustion engine vehicle," he added.

Transamerica Tire is based in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, and offers tires under such brands as Venom Power, Predator, Freedom Hauler, and Transeagle.
